Obituary for Edward C Davis, Jr.

Edward C. Davis, Jr., (aka Charlie or Snoot), 73 was born May 13, 1944 to the late Edward C. Davis and Louella Brown Davis in Norwalk, CT. He entered eternal rest July 20, 2017, in the comfort of his home after battling a long illness.

Edward graduated from Norwalk High in 1964 and was captain of the basketball team (a sport in which he loved tremendously) his name was mentioned several times in articles written by George Albano in the Norwalk hour 2013 commending him and other teammates for points and rebounds during the 1962-1963 season.

Edward also attended UConn 1965 and Norwalk Community College 1970-1971. After graduation he gained employment at Baldwin Technology Corp, Stamford, VCT, Computer works, Westport, CT UOP Inc. Norwalk, CT and Perkin Elmer with a computer technology back ground.

Edward loved life to the fullest he especially loved basketball, cooking, religion and all of his friends whom he has sadly left behind.

Edward was predeceased by his mother, Louella Davis, father, Edward C. Davis,, Sr., Sister, Willie Ella Washington and son, Mark Anthony Davis (A Top).

He is survived by a son, Charles Edward Davis of Buffalo, NY, a daughter, Lytrise Francis of Plano, TX; a companion, Barbara Donald of Bridgeport, CT; a brother, Harvey L. Davis of Maryland; a sister, Bonnie J. Lewis of South Yarmouth, MA; 1 grandchild, 3 great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday September 9 at Morton's Mortuary Chapel, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, CT., with Pastor Deborah Vereen, officiating.
