Martha Vandella Thomas rambunctiously slid into this world on May 8, 1964 on the floor of her great-grandmother’s house in Boykin, Alabama. She entered into eternal rest on August 12,2018.

For many years she was a caregiver to children, a role she loved. She loved the Lord and read her Bible every day. She was extremely proud to be named after the matriarch of her family, Martha Jane Pettway. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life and she devoted herself to them daily. She is survived by her beloved son Jason Thomas-Jackson (La’Tiequa), cherished daughters Nicole Thomas (Nathaniel) and Jasmin Osborne (Kareem). She is survived by 5 cherished grandchildren: Odyccey Osborne, Kareem Osborne Jr., Keyani Smith, Jayla Thomas-Jackson, and Jade Thomas-Jackson. Two beloved grandchildren predeceased her whom she now nurtures in Heaven, Jason Thomas-Jackson Jr. and Jameson Osborne. She has 4 siblings whom she loved and protected fiercely: Jeffrey Thomas, Jerome Thomas, (Joanne), Melinda Thomas, and Pamela Robinson (Ray). She loved being an aunt and was adored by: Shannon Johnson, Marcus Thomas, LaQuasha Thomas, Essence Taylor, Nikki Pettway, Isaiah Thomas, LaRaey Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Ray Robinson Jr., and several great nieces and nephews.
