Obituary for Ronald G. Burton

Ronald Gevon Burton was born December 1, 1961 to Gilbert and Dorothy Burton, Sr. in Bridgeport, CT.

He was educated in the Bridgeport school system and graduated from Central High School.

Ronald served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

His career choice was ‘safety and security’ and his employment included Fairfield University, Monroe School System, Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Advance Rehabilitation in West Haven, CT.

Ronald loved sports, especially watching football. He enjoyed the tailgate parties and looked forward to them.

He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He was a good cook and his family attests to that.

Ronald loved his family and friends and made sure they knew that he did. He was a gentle giant.

On Thursday evening, January 11th, while resting in his home, the Lord called Ronald home to the place he prepared for him.

Ronald leaves to cherish the memories his wife, Deborah McCray Burton; parents, Gilbert and Dorothy Burton, Sr.; step-daughters, Tishana Anderson of Georgia and Tairan Davis of Connecticut; brothers, Gilbert Burton, Jr. and Gary Burton, Sr.; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his grandparents, a step-daughter, Taijaih Davis predeceased him.
